CONEY ISLAND!!!

Who would expect an amusement park in the Big Apple? Well if you go to Coney Island, you will find great rides and games. It was my first time going and it was so fun!! We went on many fun rides like: the Brooklyn Flyer, Surfers Ups and the Tickler.
The Tickler was a roller Coaster that involved lots of spins, twists and turns! Note: If you are scared of heights do not attempt this ride.

The Brooklyn Flyer went up really high and swung around in circles at a medium speed, Note:If scared that might fall, drop to ground etc. do not attempt.

The Coney Tower wasn’t as scary as you think it would be. The Coney Tower only involved up and downs, Note: If go on this ride with scary people they may annoy you!

Brooklyn Botanic Gardens

During my visit to NYC, I went to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG). It was a great experience and there was a lot of beautiful and interesting things I saw. Below are a few of my favorites, I hope you like them as much as I did.

Lobster Claws
One of the plants that I saw in the Tropical section of the BBG reminded me of lobster claws. The plant was very colorful, very bright, and it was a very different kind of plant that I have never seen before.

The Unique Tree

The Bonsai tree that I seen at the Botanic Gardens was sooo unique!!! The tree had lots of twists and bends. I never saw anything like this and I really liked it alot.

The Summertime Flower

This cluster of purple flowers caught my attention. They were so beautiful! The flower color was so bright and pretty.

Jessica Jarrell

Jessica Jarrell is a teen singer and model that has worked with other teen stars like: Justin Bieber and Diggy Simmoms. I went to her myspace page and I think that she is also a good role model for young girls to look up to. Her songs and lyrics are written by her, which is also something that I like about her. Also her lyrics to her songs are easy to pick up on. I think that she is a very talented singer. I can see Jessica becoming even bigger star in the future.

My first Yankees Game

On July 2nd my aunt and I went to go see the Yankees vs. Mets game at Citi Field. It was my very 1st baseball game EVER! This game was part of the the Subway Series (games between NY teams). The stadium was full and there was an exciting energy all around. Even through I don’t really follow baseball, going to a baseball game is a very "New York" thing to do and I had a great time. In the end the Yankee’s won with 5 homeruns. The Mets lost with only 2 homeruns. When I go to NYC again, I hope I can go to another Yankee’s game!

My First Day on the Job

On Friday July 1st, I went to work with my aunt. She works at the Gap Inc. corporate offices in Tribecca. I met all of her co-workers and they were so nice. We visited the concept room where they were setting up the new season of clothing. I saw alot of styles that I liked and I hope they make it into the stores next Summer. What I saw was fun and colorful. Then after seeing all the great new items, I had to file some papers, which wasn’t too bad (smile). I even met the designers who make the girls clothing for the Gap! When I’m old enough I want to work at the Gap or be an intern. I was so amazed to have that experience. That was a memory that I would never forget!!!!!!!
