Jacob Latimore

14 year old Jacob Latimore has premiered the music video to his dance song “Nothing on Me”. In the video, the young star shows off his dance moves: “My team and I wanted to do a treatment that would showcase me as a dancer,” Jacobs tells Aol. "The video is about me meeting my alter ego who wants to battle me and my crew.” says Jacob

I liked the video and I think he dances very well. I think more people should check him out and learn more about his music. Please see the link below and let me know what you think.

Jeans, Jeans, Jeans

I am a boot-cut and skinny jeans type of gal. My favorites are jeggins from the store Justice and boot-cut and skinny jeans from the Gap. Today, we took a trip to the Gap to try on jeans and to see their summer clothes. As I looked around I saw that the clothes there were very girly, pink ,frilly, colorful and fun. I was instantly attracted to the jeans with the stars on them and had to try them on. Usually I wear black because they go with everything I wear especially with my Converses but the grey skinny jeans were really cool. My auntie took a picture of me with the grey jeans on and a top with sparkly stripes. I also found a picture of the other star jeans that were really cool in the store.

In "Akeelah and The Bee", Keke Palmer played as a girl who could spell anything! In real life she is a singer, actress and a smart girl who graduated high school with plans to attend college. Keke is known in Hollywood as being a role model for a lot of young girls. She has won awards like: BET young stars. I think she is very positive and talented and I cannot wait to see what her new project will be in the near furture.

Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty

Yesterday, my aunt and I went to Metropolitan Musuem of Art to see the Alexander McQueen exhibit "Savage Beauty" and it was GREAT! His clothing were so different and one of a kind. There were interesting details such as: feathers, gems, shells, silk, lace and metal. Some dresses were more elegant then others. Platos Atlantis was another irreplaceable masterpiece I thought was very interesting. Platos Atlantis had a nautical theme. It had many sequence throughout the whole piece of clothing. It was very colorful in reminded me of the ocean. It was so unusual than everyday clothing. The outfit has texture. The garment was very vibrant. Alexander McQueen’s outfits were always very out of the ordinary and extraordinary!!!!

Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez

I really like Selena Gomez and I recently took a shopping trip so I can take a look at her collection- Dream Out Loud. When, we went to Kmart the clothes there were: girly but causal and on most shirts there were ruffles. Her clothes also had simple designs and lots of color. There were many striped shirts and skirts in her collection. When we looked at her shirts and her tank-tops there was a small graphic of a dove and different types of animal prints. I think her clothes were very cute, but for the older age group of girls.

CONEY ISLAND!!!

Who would expect an amusement park in the Big Apple? Well if you go to Coney Island, you will find great rides and games. It was my first time going and it was so fun!! We went on many fun rides like: the Brooklyn Flyer, Surfers Ups and the Tickler.
The Tickler was a roller Coaster that involved lots of spins, twists and turns! Note: If you are scared of heights do not attempt this ride.

The Brooklyn Flyer went up really high and swung around in circles at a medium speed, Note:If scared that might fall, drop to ground etc. do not attempt.

The Coney Tower wasn’t as scary as you think it would be. The Coney Tower only involved up and downs, Note: If go on this ride with scary people they may annoy you!

Brooklyn Botanic Gardens

During my visit to NYC, I went to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG). It was a great experience and there was a lot of beautiful and interesting things I saw. Below are a few of my favorites, I hope you like them as much as I did.

Lobster Claws
One of the plants that I saw in the Tropical section of the BBG reminded me of lobster claws. The plant was very colorful, very bright, and it was a very different kind of plant that I have never seen before.

The Unique Tree

The Bonsai tree that I seen at the Botanic Gardens was sooo unique!!! The tree had lots of twists and bends. I never saw anything like this and I really liked it alot.

The Summertime Flower

This cluster of purple flowers caught my attention. They were so beautiful! The flower color was so bright and pretty.

Jessica Jarrell

Jessica Jarrell is a teen singer and model that has worked with other teen stars like: Justin Bieber and Diggy Simmoms. I went to her myspace page and I think that she is also a good role model for young girls to look up to. Her songs and lyrics are written by her, which is also something that I like about her. Also her lyrics to her songs are easy to pick up on. I think that she is a very talented singer. I can see Jessica becoming even bigger star in the future.

My first Yankees Game

On July 2nd my aunt and I went to go see the Yankees vs. Mets game at Citi Field. It was my very 1st baseball game EVER! This game was part of the the Subway Series (games between NY teams). The stadium was full and there was an exciting energy all around. Even through I don’t really follow baseball, going to a baseball game is a very "New York" thing to do and I had a great time. In the end the Yankee’s won with 5 homeruns. The Mets lost with only 2 homeruns. When I go to NYC again, I hope I can go to another Yankee’s game!

My First Day on the Job

On Friday July 1st, I went to work with my aunt. She works at the Gap Inc. corporate offices in Tribecca. I met all of her co-workers and they were so nice. We visited the concept room where they were setting up the new season of clothing. I saw alot of styles that I liked and I hope they make it into the stores next Summer. What I saw was fun and colorful. Then after seeing all the great new items, I had to file some papers, which wasn’t too bad (smile). I even met the designers who make the girls clothing for the Gap! When I’m old enough I want to work at the Gap or be an intern. I was so amazed to have that experience. That was a memory that I would never forget!!!!!!!

Raven, Raven, Raven!!!

If you know me you know that I’m a huge fan of Raven Symone. Ever since “That’s so Raven” she has been my favorite actress on TV. It has been 4 years now since she has been off the air but now ABC family has announced there will be a new show called “state of Georgia” starring Raven. It will premiere tonight, June 29th, on the Wednesdays night line-up. The show will be a half-hour multi-cam comedy series, “State of Georgia” stars Raven-SymonĂ© as Georgia, an aspiring actress with a larger-than-life personality, and her science geek best friend, Jo (Majandra Delfino), who are trying to make professional and personal headway in New York City. The series also stars Loretta Devine (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Jumping the Broom”) as Aunt Honey. (copied from press release)
From the preview I seen it will be Raven at her funniest but then again she’s always been funny. I soooo love Raven!!!!
